"We are witnessing a lot of events throughout the course of last night and into this morning," he continued, referring to the Gulf region.
A missile was intercepted over the Jordanian city of Aqaba, according to an Al Jazeera correspondent from across the Gulf. In southern Israel, the city is just across from Eilat. Since the start of the conflict, Iran has been attacking Israel every day.
