GOP Representative Reveals the True Cause of Trump's War
On Sunday, Representative Thomas Massie made a clear statement that he will not let the war divert him from his efforts to compel the Department of Justice to make all records connected to Jeffrey Epstein public.
The libertarian from Kentucky posted on X, "PSA: Bombing a country on the opposite side of the world will not make the Epstein files go away any more than the Dow rising beyond 50,000."
In light of the recent release of Justice Department documents pertaining to the late sex trafficker's crimes, Massie is among the many Trump detractors who have accused the president of fabricating foreign policy crises and other White House scandals to divert attention away from his historic relationship with Epstein.
Critics also claimed in January that the administration's apprehension of Nicolás Maduro, the president of Venezuela, provided a brief relief from bipartisan pressure regarding Trump's connections to Epstein, who had previously referred to himself as Trump's "closest friend."
Massie and his Democratic ally, Rep. Ro Khanna, spearheaded the Epstein Files Transparency Act—which Trump begrudgingly signed into law—directing the Department of Justice to release all files connected to Epstein, who died in 2019, by Dec. 19, 2025.
Over 3 million Epstein-related files have been made public by the DOJ, while an additional 3 million are still being withheld for a variety of reasons.
The lawmaker posted on X on February 19 that "Congress must vote on war according to our Constitution." He and Khanna "will be driving that vote to happen in the House as soon as feasible," he declared. I will vote against further Middle East conflicts in order to prioritize America.

A vote is required under the Constitution, and your representative must publicly state whether they are in favor of or against this conflict. The president is supporting Ed Gallrein, Massie's main rival in the contest for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, and has called him a "loser" and a "moron" on multiple occasions. The White House and Massie's representatives have been contacted by The Daily Beast for comment. |
